There's no TrustSays app for widgets in Shopify yet. You paste the code from Widget studio directly into your theme. It takes a couple of minutes.
On one page or in one section
- Copy the code in Widget studio with Copy code.
- In Shopify admin: go to Online Store and Themes, and choose Customize next to your theme.
- Choose the page the widget should go on, e.g. the homepage or the product page.
- Add a section or block of the type Custom Liquid. The name is translated if your admin is in another language.
- Paste the whole code into the field and save.
The menu names can vary a little from theme to theme.
On every page
Floating widgets such as Floating button, Latest review and Mobile bar typically need to be on the whole site.
- Go to Themes, and choose Edit code in the menu next to your theme.
- Open the file theme.liquid.
- Paste the code just before the closing body tag at the bottom of the file, and save.
Make a copy of the theme before you edit the code, so you can easily go back.
Product pages
Product stars and Product card show your overall SaysScore, not reviews of the individual product. If you can insert the product's name, price and image in data-product-name, data-product-price and data-product-image, they're included in Product card.
If it doesn't work
- Check that data-company is the domain your profile has on TrustSays.
- View the shop outside the theme editor. Some themes don't show scripts in the preview.
- See The widget isn't showing.
